The extreme resolution of 151 megapixels captures unprecedented detail, giving you the flexibility to print large-scale or conveniently crop images to achieve the exact composition required.

• Backside illumination sensor (BSI)

IQ4 150MP Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensors present the new digital sensor technology standard for full-frame medium format photography. The ultra-efficient pixel design of the IQ4 150MP BSI sensor results in the uninterrupted capture of light within each pixel, directly translating into more accurate rendering with better color, detail and noise management within the RAW file

• Achromatic sensor

The 151 megapixel BSI Achromatic sensor is produced without the Bayer color filter, allowing light to reach the sensor unobstructed. Without the filter, each and every pixel on the sensor captures significantly more light, ensuring absolute detail and luminosity.
The Achromatic can capture much more than meets the eye, as it is designed to capture a broader spectrum of light. With the option to also capture light outside the visible spectrum, the creative possibilities for infrared applications are endless, making the Achromatic the most light sensitive medium format digital system available.

In tune with the professional workflow, multiple tethering options capable of handling the high bandwidth are included in the IQ4: Ethernet, USB-C and wireless. All tethering and local storage options can be combined and customized to meet your specific workflow needs.
Wireless tethering can be used to transfer RAW files to Capture One in addition to storing them in-camera. This solution can be used as a backup or as part of a custom workflow.

Ethernet gives the potential for a fully customized, integrated and dynamic workflow, providing the potential to capture through any Ethernet compatible device. In addition, the long cable lengths and power provided over Ethernet eliminate workflow issues surrounding battery power or cable length.

USB-C provides a standard port type for convenient connection to a wide variety of common devices. USB-C also offers multiple power integration options.

Ethernet and USB-C enable data transfer and system integration without the need for additional accessories: transfer from local storage to any host without removing the card. And with a variety of cable lengths available, both Ethernet and USB-C can be configured exactly to meet your workflow needs

• Dual storage

With support for XQD and SD cards, the IQ4 gives you the flexibility to store captured files in a way that suits your workflow: save a RAW backup or process a JPEG to a second storage option, or simply expand your total storage so you can focus on getting every shot.

XQD facilitates faster capture speed and data transfer, ensuring your workflow remains smooth and efficient, even when shooting 16-bit RAW images. The IQ4 is ready for CFexpress support.

SD facilitates a more flexible workflow with a widely used card type. You can use SD storage as a second card to expand your total storage (just a bunch of disks: "JBOD"), as a mirrored backup of your primary storage, as your primary storage, or as JPEG storage along with the primary RAW capture. SD is a widely used and easy to find card type that has become a standard within photography. You can easily transfer images to a compatible device in the field without the use of additional accessories or cables, for faster edits, client proofs or backups.

The IQ4 continues the philosophy of the open platform Phase One, offering a solution that is both modular and future-proof.
