Features of the Xeen 50mm T1.5 Lens

The Samyang Xeen 50mm T1.5 Cine lens, is built specifically for use as a cine lens, and is not a modified lens yet. It features an internal focusing design so that the lens does not change size while focusing, minimizing breathing. Each lens in the Samyang Xeen cine lens set is multi-coated for good contrast, glare prevention, and are color matched to a factory standard, allowing you to mount a set in time with minimal color shift. This 50mm lens offers what is considered a normal angle of view on full-format cameras, and a tighter angle of view on smaller formats. The lens features dual-sided focusing scales on the feet, with dual-sided iris scales. The 11 iris blades provide a rounded aperture for an outstanding natural look and bokeh. The lens is a manual focus and manual iris lens, and has no auto focus or auto iris capability, incorporating single cine focus gears and iris gears that share the same position across the lens in the Xeen assembly. The 114mm common front diameter allows for quick lens changes when using a matte box and focusing accessories. The focus ring rotates 200° for near-infinity focusing; this gives a high degree of accuracy and consistent focus.

• This is a 50mm lens that has an image circle covering a full-frame sensor. When mounted on a camera with a full frame sensor it offers what is considered a normal angle of view, being neither telephoto or wide angle.
• The lens features a metal construction to withstand the rigors of daily production, and incorporates a mount that can help take the strain off your camera's lens port.
• Dual correct calibrated scales and left-side focus and T-stop allow your cinematographer to work from either side of the lens, without having to flip the lens into the mount.
• Each lens in the Xeen series action ring positions common focus and iris gearing, which speeds lens changes as accessories such as follow focus drives or iris motors do not have to be re-positioned.
• The 114mm diameter common front allows for quick lens changing as you don't have to change anti-reflection foam rings or adapters to use the same matte box.
