Features of the OLYMPUS 7-14mm f2.8 Pro Lens

The OLYMPUS 7-14mm Second Hand Lens is compact and lightweight despite its rugged construction. Its dust/splash/freeze resistance makes this super wide angle lens suitable for any type of scene. It has been specifically designed for use with OLYMPUS cameras that feature image stabilization, a feature they take advantage of to avoid the possibility of blurred images. Regardless of the scene, it offers great power and quality throughout the image thanks to the ZUIKO lenses and their ZERO coating that prevents optical and chromatic aberrations.

A versatile wide-angle zoom for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, the M.ZUIKO Digital ED 7-14mm f/2.8 PRO Lens from OLYMPUS is a 14-28mm equivalent lens with a constant f/2.8 Maximum Aperture for consistent performance throughout the zoom range.Several aspherical, extra-low dispersion and high-refractive index elements are incorporated into the design, and help minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions for greater clarity and sharpness. In addition, a ZERO coating has been applied to elements to control flare and shadows for improved contrast and color fidelity. A weather-resistant weatherproof design benefits handling benefits to address conditions, while an L-Fn button offers lens-based control over various settings. As a fast, high-performance wide-angle zoom lens, this Micro Four Thirds lens pairs an optimized optical design with refined physical details to excel in a variety of working conditions. Complementing the imaging features is a high-speed AF imaging system that delivers fast, smooth, and quiet focusing and film and still-image compatible (MSC) designation also indicates this lens' suitability for use with fast-moving subjects and video applications. A manual focus mechanism can also be used for selective control over focus, which is accentuated by a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for more aesthetic out-of-focus regions.

  • This 7-14mm wide-angle zoom lens offers an equivalent focal range of 14-28mm for Micro Four Thirds digital cameras.
  • Constant F/2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent performance throughout the zoom range and benefits working in difficult lighting situations.
  • The lens construction integrates two ED (Extra Low Dispersion) aspherical elements, one DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) element, one aspherical element, three Super ED elements, one ED element, and two HR (High Refractive Index) elements in its design to minimize aberrations, distortion, and color blending while contributing to overall image sharpness, clarity, and color fidelity.
  • ZERO coating helps suppress lens flare and ghosting for higher contrast and more accurate color reproduction.
  • Dust, welcoming construction, and frost guarantees this lens performance in inclement conditions and harsh environments.
  • A customizable L-Fn button can be assigned to control one of 27 different settings for intuitive operation and quick re-call of assist functions.
  • High-speed imaging of the AF linear motor drive system, with MSC (Movie and Still Image Compatible) support, delivers fast, smooth and quiet focusing performance. A manual focus mechanism can also be employed for refined, critical focus control.
  • Built-in petal-type lens hood helps alleviate stray light from causing reflections and also adds some protection against accidental impact on the main element.
  • Seven-blade round diaphragm helps produce aesthetic and out-of-focus quality when working with selective focusing techniques.
