Blackmagic Design brings next-generation digital movie capture to the masses with its new Cinema Camera 6K. Based on a full-frame 6K sensor and an active LEICA L lens mount, this high-end camera features vivid colors, accurate skin tones, a wide 13-stop dynamic range, and a built-in OLPF (optical low pass) filter that's designed specifically for the massive 24 x 35mm sensor. ENG users and other shooters on the move will appreciate the ability to record Blackmagic Raw and H.264 bit-depth proxy servers simultaneously in Blackmagic Cloud. The Cinema Camera 6K is a step up from the Pocket Cinema Camera line, but comfortably retains the ability to use all existing PCC accessories.

Full-frame 6K sensor

• A huge full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 allows you to shoot with shallow depth of field and use uncropped anamorphic lenses for a truly cinematic look.
• The sensor's 13 stops of dynamic range with native dual ISOs of 400 and 3200 extending up to 25,600 deliver stunning, low-noise images in all lighting conditions, including bright sunlight and very low light levels.

Full-frame cinematic flexibility

• The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K's full-frame sensor provides the ability to work in a variety of film formats and aspect ratios without sacrificing quality.
• Using the entire sensor area gives you a unique 3:2 open door image, which also allows you to reframe your shots in post-production.
• The large sensor enables true 6:5 anamorphic without cropping, producing detailed, cinematic widescreen images at higher resolutions than previously possible.
• Use the sensor's classic Super35-sized window to create an instant close-up of your shot that fits perfectly with open door images.

Advanced LEICA L mount

• The LEICA lens mount fits the full-frame sensor of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K and ensures compatibility with new and old lenses. With a large diameter of 51.6mm, the L-mount is compatible with the latest full-frame lenses from manufacturers such as LEICA, PANASONIC and SIGMA.
• Its very short flange distance of just 20mm means you can easily add CANON EF, ARRI PL and other adapters for a variety of lens mounts without affecting image quality.
• The separately available EF adapter allows lens control and data transfer for compatible lenses.

Multiple resolutions and frame rates

• The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K captures all standard resolutions and frame rates, from HD to DCI 4K and 6K, with available stills up to 24.6MP.
• Video speeds include 6048 x 4032 3:2 open door at 36fps, 6048 x 2520 2.4:1 at 60fps and 4096 x 2160 DCI 4K at 60fps.
• Higher frame rates are captured with a window sensor at speeds up to 2112 x 1184 Super16 at 100fps.
• True 6:5 anamorphic format with much higher resolutions than other cameras is available using anamorphic lenses in 4838 x 4032 4.8K at 24fps.

Post-friendly file formats

• High-resolution Blackmagic raw recording lets you control detail, exposure, and color during post-production.
• The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K can also record HD H.264 proxy files in real time to easily share multimedia content around the world in minutes.
• Blackmagic Raw is highly optimized, multi-threaded, and can run on multiple CPU cores. It features GPU acceleration to work with Apple Metal, CUDA, and OpenCL. This means your images always maintain unprecedented resolution and quality in terms of color, keypadding, composition, reframing, stabilization, and tracking in HD, 4K, or 6K. Media files work on all operating systems, and in addition, you can format media discs and cards in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows.

5" LCD touch screen

• The bright 5" HDR LCD touchscreen can be used to frame, focus and apply 3D LUTs for monitoring.
• On-screen overlays show status, recording parameters, histograms, peaks, frame guides, levels, and more.
• The tilt function makes it easy to view and adjust settings, especially when shooting in high or low mode.

EFexpress or External Disk Burning | DaVinci Resolve included

• The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K records internally via a CFexpress card or externally via its USB-C port to an SSD or flash media disc.
• CFexpess cards are more durable and faster than older media formats and can record Blackmagic Raw files up to 12-bit and full resolution.
• A 256GB CFexpress card can capture more than an hour of UHD 6K images.
• The high speed of CFexpress cards allows you to edit from them directly using the included DaVinci Resolve software.

Fifth-generation color science

• With the same generation 5 color science as the high-end URSA Mini Pro 12K, the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K delivers even higher image quality with stunning, accurate skin tones and faithful color reproduction in every shot.
• A new 12-bit dynamic gamma curve is designed to capture more color data in highlights and shadows for more attractive images.
• Gen 5 color science also handles some of the complex image processing Blackmagic RAW, so the sensor's color and dynamic range data is preserved through metadata that can be used in post-production. This means you get images that have a natural, movie-like response to color adjustments in post-production using DaVinci Resolve.

Professional connectors

• The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K may be compact, but it features a variety of professional interfaces.
• Connectors include a full-size HDMI video output, USB-C expansion, and 12 VDC ports.

Built-in microphones and professional audio inputs

• Professional audio support includes two +48V phantom powered mini-XLR inputs for recording two separate audio tracks.
• Audio features include four built-in shock- and wind-resistant microphones with extremely low noise.
• This camera also incorporates a 3.5mm stereo input, a playback speaker and a 3.5mm headphone output.

DaVinci Resolve Studio license included

• This camera includes a full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio software.

• Use DaVinci Resolve for editing, color correction, audio post-production, and visual effects.

Horizontal or vertical capture
