The ColorChecker^® White Balance is a spectral neutral lens that provides you with an accurate reproduction of white. Use it to set the camera's custom and internal white balance to ensure an accurate, uniform and neutral target in any lighting condition

The ColorChecker^® Custom White Balance lens gives you an accurate reproduction of white. With the change in lighting conditions, the camera changes the way white is reproduced, resulting in chromatic deviations in your photos. Most white balance targets are not neutral and can cause a deviation of colors in different lighting conditions. But the ColorChecker Custom White Balance lens is a white reference, absolutely neutral and scientifically elaborate, which prevents color changes and provides you with a precise and uniform surface that is spectrally neutral, in any lighting condition. This means that you can be sure that the image on your camera is the same as in reality.

The ColorChecker White Balance lens also gives you a way to adjust the chromatic sensitivity of your digital camera to exactly match ambient lighting conditions, effectively changing what the camera "sees". The perceived color of white often changes based on environmental conditions – outdoors it is perceived as cooler, indoors it is perceived as warmer and under fluorescent light it is perceived as greener. Even in a controlled study environment, this can be a problem. Whether on location or in your studio, establishing a precise custom white balance before each photo shoot ensures accurate colors from the start.
