Designed for those who need a creative, comfortable, detail-oriented workflow for creative fields including photography, video editing, or design, the ColorEdge CS2740 26.9" 16:9 Wide Range 4K IPS IPS Monitor from EIZO gives you everything you need to keep your imagination flowing. It offers UHD 4K resolution, a 26.9" diagonal display area, and USB Type-C connectivity. To allow the ColorEdge CS2740 to be calibrated to your preferred setting, an external calibration sensor is available as a separate purchase.

EIZO designed the ColorEdge CS2740 with an anti-glare panel, a native resolution of 3840 x 21600, In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, 10-bit support for 1070 million colors, a 16-bit LUT, a widescreen aspect 16:9 ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, brightness of 350 cd/m2, 164 pixels per inch and a response time of 10 ms (GtG). With the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to view content from virtually any position. This display has an HDMI input and a DisplayPort input. There is also a USB Type-C port that supports DP alt mode, data transfers of up to 5 Gb/s using the USB 3.1 Gen 1 standard, and up to 60W of power to charge the device. Additional USB ports include one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type B input, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A outputs with 0.9A of charging power per port, and two USB 2.0 Type-A outputs with 0.5A of charging power per port.

The ColorEdge CS2740 has been designed to support 99% of Adobe RGB and 103% of NTSC color gamuts. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, it features a -5 to 35° vertical tilt, a 344° left-to-right swivel (± 172°), a 90° clockwise rotation, and a 6.1" height adjustment.

General characteristics

• 4K UHD resolution

The ColorEdge CS2740 is the first monitor in the CS series to implement 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution, which is four times the size of Full HD. This ensures that high-resolution photos and other content are displayed sharply. The 27-inch screen offers ample space to easily display full Full HD content with enough space to display toolbars, palettes, and other windows or apps simultaneously. This makes the monitor versatile for stills, video editing, design, and other types of creative work up to 4K.

• High pixel density for smooth viewing

A conventional monitor displays in Full HD with only 96 ppi. The ColorEdge CS2740 has a pixel density almost twice as high as 164 ppi for 4K image viewing that has never looked so smooth. Alphanumeric characters and outlines are more clearly distinguishable, so you can check even the finest details without having to zoom.

• Single cable connection with USB Type-C

The ColorEdge CS2740 features USB Type-C connectivity with 60W of power delivery. With a single USB Type-C cable, you can display video, transmit USB signals, and supply power to a connected device, such as a smartphone or laptop. Just plug it in and get creative without worrying about extra cable clutter.

• ColorNavigator 7 Software

ColorNavigator 7 is a calibration and quality control software for ColorEdge color management monitors that combines all the features of EIZO's previous color management software, ColorNavigator 6 and ColorNavigator NX, to create a new and improved solution for creatives in a variety of fields. The proprietary software performs hardware calibration using the monitor's LUT (look-up table) directly for higher accuracy and better gradation characteristics compared to software calibration.

Even with all the right equipment, color matching can be a tedious process, from adjusting the monitor to determining the right retouching software and printer settings, achieving accurate printing takes a long time. Quick Color Match greatly simplifies the process by automatically adjusting to the right monitor, retouching software, and printer settings, so you can focus on editing your photos and printing your work quickly and smoothly. Simply drag and drop your photo into the Quick Color Match window to automatically start the process.

• Vivid colors reproduced according to industry standards

The wide color gamut reproduces almost the entire Adobe RGB color space, so images taken in Adobe RGB will display correctly. Photos of vibrant blue skies and lush green forests are faithfully reproduced in a way that monitors limited to an sRGB color space can't display. The wide color gamut also ensures the reproduction of almost all ISO-coated and U.S. web-coated CMYK color spaces used in printing.

• 10-bit simultaneous display

With DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, the monitor offers simultaneous 10-bit display from a 16-bit lookup table (LUT), meaning it can display more than a billion colors simultaneously. This is 64 times more colors than you get with the 8-bit display, resulting in smooth color gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors.

• HDR Gamma support

EIZO offers optional HLG and PQ curves for the ColorEdge CS2740 as an upgrade. Optimized gamma curves make images appear more faithful to how the human eye perceives the real world compared to SDR.

• Factory-adjusted for smooth color gradations

The gamma level for each ColorEdge monitor is adjusted at the factory by measuring the R, G, and B gamma values from 0 to 255, then using the monitor's 16-bit lookup table (LUT) to select the most appropriate tones and achieve the desired value. This helps ensure the smoothest color gradations in your images.

• Uniformity across the entire screen

LCD monitors often show fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity on the screen, which affects color accuracy. To counter this, ColorEdge monitors are equipped with EIZO's proprietary Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology, which corrects deviations in every tone on the screen to help ensure stable viewing.

• Non-skipping electrostatic switches

The flat design uses electrostatic switches on the front bezel instead of traditional buttons for seamless access to monitor settings.

• Built-in carrying handle

A carrying handle on the back of the monitor allows you to easily move it from one place to another.

• Minimized reflections with anti-glare panel

The monitor is equipped with an anti-glare IPS panel for high visibility. It also uses dimming technology to minimize flicker and help prevent eye strain for a more comfortable work environment.

The HDMI input supports I/P conversion (interlaced/progressive) to convert interlaced TV and video signals into progressive signals for flicker-free viewing.

An optional light shield is available that effectively prevents glare on the monitor screen caused by ambient lighting. The hood attaches to the monitor magnetically, allowing users to perform setup quickly and easily without the need to connect separate parts.
