The Sony 28-135mm f4 G OSS FE PZ Lens, Designed to meet 4K production needs, the 28-135mm SONY FE PZ f/4 G OSS lens is a powerful zoom lens that covers wide-angle to telephoto perspectives while adding many features to its full frame, APS-C, or camcorder or even E-mount camera photography system. The lens incorporates a motorized zoom control with a variable speed and ability to reverse the direction of rotation of the zoom. Power zoom function is an SSM (supersonic wave motor) unit that allows for precision and quiet operation. Focus noise is also minimized through the weight reduction of the focus element group and the use of a linear motor. Iris function is also designed to be smooth and quiet for the demands of cinematography.

Angle of view variations while focusing (breathing) and axial displacement, while they have been reduced, while five aspherical elements and three ED elements work with advanced multi-coating technology to minimize distortion and chromatic aberrations while contributing to the sharpest overall images with higher contrast and zoom clarity.

Independent zoom, focus and iris control rings are provided for and the focus mode can be switched from auto to manual by sliding the focus ring forward so that control is maintained at all times. The three control rings have been designed to provide the right amount of torque for comfortable, responsive handling and the tone of the scalloping in the rings has been designed for comfortable, non-slip control.
