Detailed features

Automatic flash measurement

Compatible with all digital EOS SLR cameras, the Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX offers fully automatic E-TTL II flash measurement for accurate flash exposures in all situations. Each flash head has a Guide Number of 12, resulting in a combined Guide Number power of 24. This provides enough flash power even when working at large magnifications.

Relationship control

Control the two flash heads together or independently for creative results. Adjust control of the relationship between flash heads over a six-point range to create complex lighting effects.

A circular lens mount* allows macro Twin Lites to be rotated around the lens to illuminate from the sides or from above and below. Remove the two flash heads from the mount ring and place them separately for greater control over light direction or more complex lighting.

Wireless Master Flash

It uses the wireless master function to shoot remote EX-Series Speedlites. Controlling a third lighting group of one or more slave Speedlites allows you to illuminate other areas of the scene, such as the background, more effectively.

Focus lights

Working with large magnifications can make focusing difficult. A focus light on each flash head provides illumination to the subject to aid manual focusing.

There are two different modeling flash configurations that allow you to fire a strobe pre-flash with the depth-of-field preview button. The default setting shoots the two tubes with the appropriate activation setting to make an accurate calculation of where the shadows will appear.

Power supply

Powered by 4 AA batteries or external batteries such as the CP-E4, the MT-24EX is lightweight and portable. AA batteries provide fast recycling so you can continue shooting without having to wait between captures.
