4k Videos

Standard 4096 x 2160 (4k) digital cinema videos are recorded on CF cards at 24 fps in M-JPEG format (4.2.2 8-bit), resulting in excellent video image quality, suitable for the film industry.

Advanced video features

Advanced video features include Full HD (1080p) recording at variable speeds of up to 50 or 60 fps (ideal for high-speed action or slow motion), along with custom exposure, audio and compression control and the Super 35mm crop option. The addition of CANON 's Log Gamma offers neutral image quality with a wide dynamic range (800%) for maximum freedom in post-production. An uncompressed HDMI output allows recordings from 8-bit 1920x1080 to 4.2.2 on external recorders to accommodate different workflows. A headphone jack is included to monitor manually adjustable audio levels.

18.1 MP full-frame CMOS sensor

CANON's 18.1 MP full-frame CMOS sensor delivers amazing performance, produces exceptionally low noise and high-resolution photo agency-quality images, even in maximum darkness. It also offers optimal results with wide-angle lenses and greater control over depth of field.

High-speed photography

Capture every second of the action with continuous shooting up to 12 fps (14 fps with High Speed Mode) in bursts of up to 180 large JPEG images (38 RAW).

Wide ISO range

Thanks to an exceptionally wide ISO range, ranging from 100 to 25,600 for video and 100 to 51,200 for photography, which can be expanded to an incredible 204,800 ISO, you can shoot in high light or almost dark conditions.

61-point AF system

The 61-point high-precision AF system includes 41 highly sensitive cross-type sensors to provide fast and accurate focusing of fast-moving subjects, no matter the lighting conditions, plus 5 dual cross-type center AF points to increase accuracy.
