D30 PowerShot D30 waterproof digital camera from CANON features an 82' depth rating for subsurface scanning. Its rugged design is 6.5" shockproof and freeze-proof to 14°F. The camera has a 12.1MP, 1/2.3", high-sensitivity CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor, which together produce high-resolution still images and Full HD 1080p video via the dedicated video button. The sensor and processor combine to form the HS SYSTEM from CANON which helps provide excellent low-light performance. The D30 is equipped with a 5x zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28-140mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives. 3.the camera's 0" monitor offers a sunlight mode LCD, which helps reduce reflections for improved outdoor visibility. 12.1MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor
The 12.1MP, 1/2.3", high sensitivity CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 processor image processor together produce high-resolution still images and Full HD 1080p video via the dedicated movie button, and also enable accurate TTL fast autofocus. They combine to form the HS SYSTEM from CANON, which helps provide excellent low-light performance, producing images with minimal noise and maximum detail in highlights and shadows. The sensor incorporates advanced light-receiving technology that increases sensitivity, while the DIGIC 4 image processor actively reduces noise, extending the usable ISO range to a maximum of 3,200.

Video Recording Details
In addition to recording 1080p HD video at 24 fps, the PowerShot D30 is also capable of capturing 720p HD video at 30 fps. You also have the option to record in Apple's iFrame format, a standard computer-use format, which speeds up importing and editing videos and is ideal for sharing via social networking sites and email. Super Slow Motion allows you to record your clips in high speed (approx. 240 fps), and then watch the playback in slow motion.
Smart AUTO
Intelligently selects the appropriate camera settings for the given conditions, based on 32 predefined shooting situations - whether you are shooting stills or video. Automatically detects scenes by evaluating various factors, both in the background and the subject. Smart AUTO also includes Advanced Subject Detection, which allows the camera to detect and track non-human moving objects such as animals and vehicles.Concentrate on the image you want and leave the thinking to the camera.
Video Overview
In this mode, the camera automatically selects shooting settings for optimum quality and records up to 4 seconds of video each time a still image is captured - without using the REC button. A day's worth of clips are combined into a single video.
Program
The camera automatically and intelligently selects the best aperture/shutter speed combination based on the shooting conditions.
Portrait
This mode brings the subject into focus while beautifully blurring the background.
Intelligent Shutter

Tripod-free Night Scene and Low Light Mode

Fisheye Effect
Play around with the Fisheye Effect option to achieve that classic wide-angle distortion without a fisheye lens.
Miniature Effect
Use this option to give images a miniature look, emphasizing perspective by blurring the superior and bottom of the shot.
Toy Camera Effect
Allows you to simulate photos taken with toy or pinhole cameras, darkening the image at the edges to create a vignette effect.
Monochrome
Choose from three single tone effects: black and white, sepia and blue.
Super Vivid, Accent Color and Swap Color
Super intensifies existing Vivid hues, saturating the scene with bright colors. Accent Color allows you to choose to keep a single color in the image, while other colors are converted to monochrome. Swap Color mode allows you to replace a selected color with another color you specify, in order to create special effects.
Poster effect
Combines several similar tones in one color, turning subtle gradations into striking, mind-blowing scene contrasts.
Underwater Macro and Underwater
Underwater mode allows capturing images below the surface with a reduced backscatter effect. Also available, Underwater Macro gives you detailed close-ups capturing an enlarged image of the subject.
Stitch Assist
Easy-to-use guidelines simplify shooting multiple aligned frames that can then be combined to create super-wide panoramic shots, using the included software.
More shooting modes
In Snow mode, shoot clear snow scenes, without obscured objects or an unnatural bluish tint. Fireworks mode creates bright images of firework clouds. Long shutter is ideal for blurring moving subjects for artistic effects.
Intelligent IS
Optical image stabilization technology from CANON, known as Intelligent IS, automatically analyzes camera shake and chooses from six different modes for optimal image stabilization, so your images will be sharp and free of blur. For still images, the system automatically selects between Normal, Panorama, Macro (hybrid) and tripod modes. When recording video, the system automatically selects Powered, Dynamic, Macro or Tripod mode. Normal mode corrects for a wide range of camera shake when shooting still images. When Panning mode is selected, panning motion is detected so that IS does not interfere with the desired camera movement. Macro (Hybrid) corrects for camera shake-type shake, which normally occurs in macro (close-up) shooting. Dynamic mode is effective for video recording at wide-angle focal length, which eliminates unwanted shaking that typically occurs when walking. Developed mode compensates for hand shake when recording video at the telephoto end of the zoom, where camera shake is magnified. Finally, the tripod mode ensures that the image stabilizer stops when tripod use is detected, as it is not needed and could interfere. With Intelligent IS, you can concentrate on capturing images, leaving you to worry about how to counteract camera shake.
