8.3 MP Super 35mm CMOS sensor; Full HD

An 8.3 MP Super 35mm CMOS sensor, designed and manufactured by CANON specifically for capturing video, provides 3-channel RGB processing for Recording Full HD videos. CANON 's sensor technology delivers extraordinary high-resolution images with high sensitivity, low noise, features that minimize rolling shutter effects, and reduced power consumption, along with the intrinsic advantages of the large sensor, such as completely shallow depth of field.

Industry-standard PL lens mount

The industry-standard mount of the EOS C300 PL is compatible with a wide variety of interchangeable lenses that have already been used in professional film production, as well as CANON's own cinema lenses. 3 built-in electronic ND filters increase shooting versatility.

Compact, modular and lightweight

The EOS C300 PL is ultra-compact, with a basic recording setup weighing as little as 1,869g (no lens). The grip, handle and components of the multi-angle control panel ensure maximum maneuverability, while the solid, splash-resistant body has been manufactured with magnesium alloy components for additional rigidity and strength.

MPEG-2 MXF 50 Mbps on CF card

Broadcast-ready MPEG-2 MXF recording files at 50 Mbps (4:2:2) on two CF memory cards (uninterrupted and simultaneous recording options are available). Industry-standard outputs include HD-SDI, along with timecode features, Genlock, and sync terminals for multi-camera captures.

High sensitivity, low noise

The EOS C300 PL features improved sensitivity: low-noise images can be captured at ISO speeds of up to 20,000, allowing them to be used in almost all shooting conditions.

CANON Log Gamma

Extensive customization options include CANON built-in Log Gamma, which delivers neutral image quality with a wide dynamic range (800%) for maximum post-production freedom. More than 90 variable images are adjusted and stored as custom image profiles on the camera or SD card.

24p for video production

The included PAL, NTSC, and 24p modes offer frame rates from 23.98p to 59.94i. It adjusts to slow and fast motion action at 1 fps intervals for creative flexibility.

Wi-Fi Remote Control

Wireless camera monitor settings via a laptop, tablet or smartphone, using a simple browser-based user interface. Control ND filters, add photo marks, and upload metadata remotely. (Optional wireless adapter required.)

Seamless workflow integration

By seamlessly integrating with existing workflows, EOS C300 PL videos are compatible with most of the most widely used professional NLE software packages.
