18 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor
The EOS 7D offers superb resolution thanks to its 18MP CMOS sensor. It gives the photographer flexibility and creativity.

Up to 8 frames per second
Capture 14-bit and 18MP images up to 8fps as standard, in bursts of up to 126 JPEGs in large format, so photographers can capture detail and action.

High ISO configuration
For handheld shooting in low light, the EOS 7D II offers ISO speeds of up to 6400. The ISO sensitivity can be extended up to 12800 for low-light scenes where you do not want to use the flash.

Smart Viewfinder
The EOS 7D's viewfinder with 1.0x magnification provides the most complete and natural view of the subject. The smart viewfinder offers shooting information that has never been provided on an EOS before, such as the dual-axis electronic level to ensure perfect horizons.

AF system with 19 cross-type focus points
New AF sensor design with zone and point AF modes that offer the photographer new ways to select AF points. All points are cross-type and the center point offers f/2.8 and f/5.6 sensors.

iFCL Measurement System
The new 63-zone dual-layer measurement sensor analyzes focus, color and brightness data, providing accurate and consistent measurement.

DIGIC 4
The digic 4 Dual CANON processor gives the EOS 7D the ability to achieve outstanding colour reproduction from the high-resolution CMOS sensor. DIGIC 4 also provides 14-bit processing, superb noise reduction, long battery life, Face Detection AF and Full HD video recording.

Full HD video recording
To complement these extraordinary full HD 1080 image capture and video recording features, full manual control and frame rate selection are included.

Integrated Speedlite transmitter
The EOS 7D also has the ability to control several Speedlite without an ST-E2 or 580EX II; in addition, it includes a 15mm wide-angle lens and flash. Expand the possibilities of flash photography.

3.0" Clear View II LCD
The 3.0" Clear View II LCD display features a resolution of 920,000 pixels, wide viewing angle and a solid new structure that improves the display of images in bright conditions. Live View Mode displays images in real time on the LCD and offers three autofocus modes.
