Product Details

The SH-50 has many exciting features, but one of them will break new ground in the compact sector: its impressive image stabilization (IS) technology. The SH-50 is the first digital compact that can counteract shake with a sophisticated five-axis stabilization system normally used by digital SLRs.

For still photography, its three-axis system is equally effective and highly unusual for compacts. This, combined with iHS technologies, makes the SH-50 a fantastic camera for low-light shooting. The iHS technologies include a TruePic VI processor and a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that provide the sensitivity and speed needed to enhance detail and reduce noise in low-light conditions. In addition, the SH-50 also features a Macro Telephoto Mode that lets you get up to 40 cm closer to detail for fantastic photos and HD movies. If movies are recorded in 120fps high-speed mode, they can be played back in high-definition slow motion to capture movements that the human eye would not see. With a resolution of 1080 Full HD, the SH-50 offers a choice of 60i or 30p formats. In either format, the results are spectacular.
