The new model A025, or even more beautiful SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens features a bokeh with silky backgrounds out of focus throughout the zoom range.  The lights in the background of the bokeh also look more harmonious thanks to the nine-blade circular diaphragm.

The optical design of the new SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens is formed with 23 elements divided into 17 groups.  High-speed telephoto lenses are usually prone to show chromatic aberrations in images. Thanks to the use of two low-dispersion lenses, XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) and LD (Low Dispersion) these faults are eliminated throughout the focal length range of the objective, while, in turn, ensuring a uniform high quality result from the center to the edges of the image.

The TAMRON image stabilizer, the VC (Vibration Compensation) system, employs a rotating coil mechanism that strengthens the power of the stabilization system and controls its performance. With a capacity of up to 5 stops (according to CIPA standards), the TAMRON VC stabilizer achieves the most efficient operation in its category4 (using VC MODE 3).

Discover the new freedom of movement with the three modes offered by the A025's VC. It is now possible to optimize the stabilizer according to the situation, such as using it in MODE 2 to perform a sweep. Shoot with TV even in low light circumstances, when images are more likely to come out blurry, you can enjoy clear photos without using a tripod.

VC MODE 1 is the standard mode. It provides a balanced balance between the stability of the image presented by the viewfinder and the stabilization effects.   

VC MODE 2 exclusively supports the camera sweep technique.

VC MODE 3 prioritizes the stability of the capture image, relegating the stability of the viewfinder image to the background.

In addition, the TAMRON TAP‐in ConsoleTM (accessory) allows you to enter the lens menu and customize the VC MODE 1 settings to decide whether to prioritize the view through the viewfinder or balance it

The SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens is equipped with a circular USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) focusing motor that offers an immediate and controlled response.  Compared to its predecessor, the SP 70‐200mm (model A009), two high-performance microcomputers have been incorporated that improve the algorithm, this influences the accuracy of focus and speed. In addition, it is possible to act on the focus even working in automatic mode, the "Full‐time Manual Focus override" allows you to make small manual focus adjustments instantly and without having to change the mode.

State-of-the-art TAMRON technology reduces the minimum focusing distance to 0.95 meters. In comparison, its predecessor, the A009, had a MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 1.3 meters. The A025 has a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.1. In conjunction with the other performance features, the SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens expands the possible modes of expression and creativity. 

The SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens comes with TAMRON's original eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular‐Dependency) coating, a technology that combines a low-refractive index nano-structured layer with classic multilayer coatings.  The eBand coating has been improved and redesigned exclusively for this new zoom lens. Now its anti-reflective quality is more efficient against glare and phantom reflections. Even in backlit portraits, the new lenses deliver sharp, bright images.

Ideal for outdoor photography, the new 70‐200mm telephoto zoom has a dust- and grease-proof construction because a special seal protects each delicate joint and surface (such as buttons) without allowing particles that can damage the internal crystals to enter. It repels much more effectively than conventional protections.

The front lens has been applied a fluorine coating that repels water and grease, protecting the lens against fingerprints, dirt and dust. The surface of the lens is easier to clean and less vulnerable.

The electromagnetic diaphragm, which was used as standard for CANON-mount lenses, now also operates on NIKON*5 mount versions. This ensures more precise control of the aperture thanks to a motor that controls the diaphragm blades through electro‐magnetic pulses.

The mount that attaches the lens to the tripod is new. Being made of magnesium is very light. It also hooks and disengages quickly to the Arca-Swiss system, thus being practical and very comfortable.

The SP 70-200mm G2 f2.8 Di VC USD lens is fully compatible with the 1.4x (TC‐X14 model) and 2.0x (TC‐X20 model) teleconverters, which increase the focal length of the lens, increasing it with a zoom capability of 1.4 times and 2 times with respect to the lens, respectively.  Both tele-converters were carefully designed and manufactured to deliver outstanding quality results.
