Made for amateur photographers and designers, the CS240 includes the essential hardware and software needed for a graphics monitor. This includes a wide color range, brightness uniformity, and the EIZO ColorNavigator 6 calibration software with Mac/Windows support and supporting a wide variety of calibration devices.

Software calibration available on most graphics monitors is usually possible to graph to third-party software with limited support for operating systems and calibration peripherals. In addition, the software may only allow you to create one or two profiles which is restrictive if you work in more than one color space or if you work on multiple tasks each with its own requirements.

The ColorEdge CS240 comes with EIZO 's proprietary calibration software ColorNavigator 6. Thanks to the fact that ColorNavigator is proprietary software, it allows to guarantee its compatibility with the operating system of Mac, Windows and Linux and works with a wide range of measuring peripherals from X-Rite, datacolor and other manufacturers. To simplify the adjustment lenses are preconfigured for photography, web design and printing. More advanced users will be able to set their own brightness, white dot and gamma values, as well as create their own profiles. Completing the calibration only takes a few minutes.

ColorNavigator 6 offers many advanced features such as measuring the white of the paper to be used in printing and achieving better monitor-print matching and profile validation by verifying the calibration results.

An IPS panel with a wide color gamut reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space of the image in RAW and can be converted into Adobe RGB or can be displayed in Adobe RGB correctly. The colors visualized in photos of bright sky blues and intense forest greens will be reproduced truthfully.

Individual Factory Adjustment

The gamma level for each ColorEdge monitor is adjusted at the factory. It is adjusted to measure the gamma values R, G and B from 0 – 255, then using the table (LUT) of the monitor to 16-bit look-up to select the tones plus 256 most appropriate tones to reach the desired values.
