The Lens NIKON 80-400mm f4.5-5.6 G ED VRII, is an ideal Super Tele for nature photographers, valid for full sensor size cameras and also for those of Aps c, becoming in this case a powerful 600mm, with second generation stabilizer
Capture portraits with softly blurred backgrounds and get telephoto close-ups of distant subjects with or without a tripod. The construction integrates a super ED lens (extra low dispersion) and four ED glass elements to minimize chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range and contribute to the image of greater sharpness, clarity and color fidelity. The nanocrystal layer reduces surface reflections, helping to prevent ghosting and reflections on the lens for greater contrast and light transmission. Built-in Image Stabilization Vibration Reduction compensates for the effects of camera shake up to the equivalent of four stops of shutter speed. A dedicated VR setting for tripods is available for the production of the sharpest images possible without counteracting the effects of the image stabilization system. In addition to regular autofocus and manual focus, two other focus modes are available: A/M (automatic manual mode with priority) allows an easy transition from autofocus to manual during AF operation, while M/A (autofocus with manual priority, priority MF) allows switching from AF to MF, with virtually no delay time by turning the focus ring. The transition between these focus modes can be made quickly and accurately. The SWM (Silent Wave Motor) system focusing uses ultrasonic vibrations to provide the fast, quiet, smooth and accurate performance autofocus that is ideal for use in video and object tracking. Internal focus maintains a compact overall form factor lens, enables faster performance, and allows for a closer focusing distance.
