Pentax Objective | PENTAX 24 70mm | PENTAX F2 8

Consisting of 17 elements in 12 groups, the newly designed optics feature three ED (extra low dispersion) optical elements, one aspherical anomalously dispersion glass optical element and three aspherical optical elements to respond to extremely high-resolution image sensors. By maintaining sufficient light levels even at the edges of the image field and compensating for various aberrations to a minimum, it provides high MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) and delivers images rich in contrast and resolution across the entire image field. When mounted on a camera body, PENTAX current digital K uses only the center area of the image circle, so it provides high-resolution images with uniform detail across the entire image field.

- Supersonic engine. The new generation of SDM motor enables fast and quiet autofocus.
- Weather-resistant construction.
- HD coating. With the HD multilayer coating, correct light transmission and less reflections are ensured.
- Quick change of focus system. The Quick-shift Focus system developed by PENTAX allows the manual focus system to be used even when working in AF.
- Circular diaphragm. To provide a nice bokeh effect.
