Combining an autofocus design with a desirable ultra-wide field of view, Rokinon's EF-mount AF 14mm f/2.8 CANON lens is a bright, wide close-up suitable for landscape, nature, and astrophotography applications. A sophisticated 15-element design in 10 groups incorporates an extra-low dispersion element, two aspherical elements, and four high refractive index elements to suppress chromatic and spherical aberrations for high sharpness, accurate color reproduction, and even edge-to-edge brightness. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to the individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting to improve contrast when working in bright lighting conditions. Complementing the optical design, the autofocus system makes use of a lightweight focus group for fast and quiet performance that benefits both photographic and video applications. In addition, this 14mm f/2.8 sports an all-metal housing and is weatherproofed for use in adverse weather conditions.
