Panasonic G9 II + 12-35mm

Features of the G9 II PANASONIC

Lumix G9II, the new flagship model for photography of the Micro Four Thirds range of the company. Equipped with Phase Detection Focusing (PDAF) technology and designed to capture images with incredible speed and improved ergonomics, the new Lumix G9II responds to the needs of the most demanding photographers with world-class results without sacrificing video capabilities.

This new model satisfies the growing need to produce highly creative artistic and photographic works and is capable of generating high resolution and quality images with vivid and intense colors. In addition, a new focusing technology that unites PANASONIC 's expertise in recognition technology and PDAF focusing – a high-speed burst shooting mode that ensures decisive moments are always captured – makes this new model increase its power and performance for high-speed scenes.

The new camera offers great possibilities in various fields of photography, as the system can be combined with the compact and lightweight LUMIX G Micro Four Thirds lenses for maximum flexibility, with a small and very light size, which enhance the user experience. On the other hand, the new 25.2 megapixel Live MOS sensor and its renewed processor produce high-resolution images with exceptional quality and intense color tones, while hybrid PDAF technology allows fast and accurate autofocus, as well as high-speed tracking of the fastest objects.

Also, Lumix's latest release features the ability to run burst shots up to 60fps in AFC mode. In turn, thanks to the improved internal memory of the camera, the Pre-Burst mode has been optimized, allowing you to capture images up to 1.5 s before pressing the shutter release. This function ensures the capture of decisive moments and the realization of up to 133 consecutive images.

LUMIX's popular image stabilization system has been further enhanced, combining B.I.S.'s 8-stop in-body image stabilizer*2 (Body Image Stabilizer), ideal for working with wide-angle lenses, and the 7.5-stop Dual I.S.2 stabilizer*3, the best choice for working with telephoto lenses. In addition, the LUMIX G9II stabilizes 5-axis with advanced Active I.S. for outstanding video image stabilization. Together, these features provide greater versatility for freehand shooting dynamic scenes that previously would have been difficult to capture.

In addition, photographers can enjoy improved monochrome photo styles thanks to the new profile LEICA Monochrome for incredible black and white images and the ability to preview real-time LUTs, which offers a personalized color expression through the use of LUT files with which the user can see the final color result directly on camera.

At the same time, it also incorporates the High Resolution mode of 100 megapixels, selectable directly on the superior camera dial and with freehand work capability, without the need for a tripod. For its part, the Live View Composite mode so demanded by photographers is also incorporated in the LUMIX G9II.

New sensor and revamped processor with built-in PDAF technology

The new Lumix G9II incorporates, as main novelties, a new Live MOS sensor of 25.2 megapixels of high resolution and high-speed response (13+ steps *4 V-Log/V-Gamut, Dynamic Range Boost*5), an optimized processor capable of achieving images with natural and three-dimensional textures to ensure high-speed processing of video with high bit rate and the first implementation in the LUMIX G series of a new technology, powered by AI, for real-time recognition and autofocus that detects cars, motorcycles and animal eyes to improve accuracy in subject recognition.

An ideal camera for those who want to start in the video

Incorporating the most advanced PANASONIC technology, the Lumix G9II offers the ability to record in 4:2:0 10-bit 5.8K (4:3) with full sensor recording and 5.7K (17:9) that allows flexible framing options for various social media formats, as well as 4:2:0 10-bit C4K/4K 120p/100p to generate slow-motion videos.

Apple ProRes*6 video integration delivers high image quality with low compression and optimizes post-production on the computer, while enabling non-linear editing without transcoding, streamlining the workflow of professionals. In addition, it supports recording and playback using an external SSD via USB and incorporates an active I.S. technology that corrects the vibrations generated when recording on the move.

Panasonic redesigns H-ES35100 and H-RSA100400 interchangeable lenses for LUMIX G series

Panasonic introduces a redesign of the H-ES35100 high-brightness lenses with exceptional photographic performance and the LEICA DG Series H-RSA100400 extreme telephoto lens, which are incorporated into the extensive range of LUMIX G series lenses that meet the Micro Four Thirds system standard.

These telephoto zoom lenses are designed according to LEICA 's strict optical standards and achieve exceptional photographic performance. Currently, PANASONIC has a range of 32 interchangeable Micro Four Thirds lenses, of which 15 are LEICA DG lenses. Designed for a wide range of users, from professionals and amateur photographers to beginners in mirrorless digital cameras, PANASONIC continues to provide different ways to enjoy creative photography and videography through its varied range of interchangeable lenses.

Features of the PANASONIC 12-35mm f2.8 lens

With great mobility, the LUMIX GX VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH. / POWER OIS offers a versatile zoom range of 12-35mm (35mm camera equiv. 24-70mm) and f2.8 brightness throughout the zoom range. This lens is ideal for a variety of occasions, from daily snapshots including landscapes such as sunsets or low light to indoor photos to make very creative photos. In the high-performance X lens, all of PANASONIC's optical technologies crystallize. Its excellent image rendering produces realistic textures and natural environments with remarkable transparency.

The PANASONIC Nano Surface coating technology is adopted to minimize reflection over the entire visible light range (380nm-780nm) by applying the extra-low index refractive layer with a nano-sized structure on the lens surface. The result is a super-clear image with dramatic reduction in reflections.

The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) has twice the power repression compared to the MEGA OIS. It is particularly effective for low-frequency vibration, found when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. This improves the quality of photos taken at night or indoors, where the flash cannot be used, or if the photographer does not want to use the flash as it would spoil the context. Capture beautiful photos in situations where it was previously very difficult.

The new lens system uses 4 aspherical lenses, 1 UED lens and a UHR lens in 14 lenses spread over 9 groups that account for exceptional compactness, while maintaining image quality. When mounted on LUMIX G Micro System cameras, the LUMIX GX VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH. / POWER OIS can take full advantage of the contrast AF system, which takes advantage of both high accuracy and high shooting speed. It should be noted that AF performance is very superior to the AF phase difference when using the lens with a smaller F-value.

The G X LUMIX VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH lens. / POWER OIS is recommended for recording videos. In addition to its ability to use autofocus for movie recording, it has a quiet design that eliminates noise from lens registers and sounds clearer.
