The HLD-6 OLYMPUS Battery Power Holder is a combination of dust and splash/grip battery that has been specially designed for use with the E-M5 OLYMPUS . You can separate the unit into 2 parts: One option for shooting horizontally and the other more suitable for portraiture. The unit features an integrated shutter button landscape, plus a line to lock the grip on the bottom of the E-M5. The portrait unit has a molded grip to ensure robust fire while the camera is stopped in the portrait orientation, as well as a built-in shooting button and 2 built-in function buttons that can be programmed independently of those on the E-M5's body. It also includes a DC-IN connector for draught with direct power, which requires the optional AC-3 power adapter (not included). There is also a compartment that allows the storage of an optional additional BLN-1 lithium-ion battery. When shooting with the E-M5 and 2 batteries, it is possible to select which battery to use first. Then, once one empties, the camera will start using the second one, providing uninterrupted firefighting.
