The VANGUARD Alta Pro 2+ 263CT tripod is built with carbon fiber to maximize durability and limit weight. It supports up to 15.4 lbs, measures 24.6" when folded and can be placed at a maximum height of 52.3", or 63.8" with its fast push-and-pull center column fully raised. Its 3-section legs feature an independent extension as well as rotating closures for rapid deployment. When the central column and legs are retracted, the tripod stands at 23.3". Polymer covers on two of the legs provide a secure and comfortable grip when moving the tripod, and rubber feet help improve stability on a wide variety of surfaces.

Tripod heads, cameras, lenses or sports optics that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the superior part of the central column of the tripod. For added versatility, the central column is connected to the tripod by a fulcrum that allows for 90° of tilt up or down that can be locked in place. In addition, the whole of the central column allows an independent rotation of 360 °. With the ability to push and pull the center column at all times, those tilt and turn movements allow the center column to be used as an extendable transverse arm or miniature camera arm. This allows an attached camera to easily rise to an elevated subject or over a scene. A camera that is placed towards the end of the central column can be placed perpendicular to the tripod, while the legs can be lowered further to a minimum height of 7.3". The camera can then be extended beyond the tripod legs, which is particularly useful for copy support or macro photography. For subjects along the floor, the center column can also be used to obtain low angles while the tripod user is comfortably placed behind the camera.

A nylon carrying bag with drawstring closure and shoulder strap is included for storage or carrying.
