Lumix LX100 MII: Main Features

1. A large four-thirds high sensitivity MOS sensor and Venus Engine processor

The Lumix LX100 MII integrates a sensor of 21.77 megapixels achieving an effective resolution of 17.0 megapixels in 4:3 aspect. The resolution increases markedly when compared to the LX100 camera already on the market; extra pixels ensure high resolution no matter what mode you work in, between 4:3, 3:2, 1:1 and 16:9.

The new sensor is about 1.6 times larger than an inch-sized sensor. It features an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, generating dramatic noise reduction even when shooting at an ISO maximum of 25,600.

Meanwhile, the latest Venus Engine processor delivers vibrant, lifelike, high-quality images with excellent resolution, high contrast, and impressive color reproduction.

2. 24-75mm f/1.7 - 2.8 (equivalent) LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens and 3cm Macro function

The new Lumix LX100 MII incorporates a 3.1x optical zoom and its lens is equivalent to a 24-75 mm, close to the classic focal length of 24-70 mm.

The LX100 MII offers the flexibility to capture a wide range of scenes, from landscapes to portraits, as its optics have a wide aperture f/1.7 - f/2.8, capable of creating a beautiful bokeh effect being perfect for working in low light conditions.

Equipped with the Power O.I.S. (optical image stabilizer), the lens comprises 11 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 8 aspherical surfaces, so that the shots look superbly defined.

Macro shots can be captured perfectly thanks to a minimum focusing distance of 3 cm (width) and 30 cm (tele).

3. Intuitive controls, easy composition and high-speed response

Together with a high-resolution Live View Finder (2,764,000 dots), the LX100 MII offers a 100% field of view and excellent magnification (equivalent to 0.7x in 35mm) thanks to significant improvements to the rear LCD screen. For example, the resolution has been increased to 1,240,000 points, while touch functionality has been added for ease of use. No matter what your preference is when composing a photograph, the LX100 MII has you covered.

The new camera ensures direct and intuitive control thanks to its rings and dials, which include an aperture ring, a control ring, a shutter speed dial and an exposure compensation dial.

The Lumix LX100 MII achieves a high focusing speed (AF) of approximately 0.10 seconds* and shoots in burst at a high speed of 11 fps (AFS)/5.5 fps (AFC) allowing you to capture and focus fast-moving subjects. The Lumix LX100 MII integrates Starlight AF that allows you to shoot a star in the sky at night with autofocus. This can be achieved by accurately calculating the contrast value in a smaller focus area.

4. Ultra High Definition 4K Video and 4K Photo for Unforgettable Moments

The advanced 4K Photo feature of PANASONIC 's new Lumix takes advantage of 4K video recording to shoot up to 30 fps*¹ and extract the perfect moment with 8-megapixel still images directly on the camera. The new additions include an auto-dial feature, which allows you to jump faster to the most appropriate photograph, and the Sequence Composition mode, which joins several images to create this special effect.

Post Focus and Focus Stacking functions have also been added, in addition to the Light Composition mode with which to recreate spectacular fireworks or night landscapes with ease.

- Use an SD speed class card with "UHS-I UHS Speed Class 3 (U3)" when recording moving images with [MP4] in [4K] or [4K PHOTO] (SD speed is the speed standard with respect to continuous writing.)

- Recording stops when the recording time exceeds 15 minutes with [MP4] at [4K].

- When using an SDHC memory card: You can continue recording without interruption, even if the file size exceeds 4 GB, but the moving image file will be split and recorded/played separately.

- When using an SDXC memory card: you can record a movie to a single file.

- When the ambient temperature is high or continuous recording is made, the camera can stop recording to protect itself. Wait until the camera cools down.

5. Creative possibilities are increased thanks to the new L. Monochrome D mode and the grain effect

L. Monochrome D has been added to the monochrome options of image styles, creating dynamic black and white images with reflections and shadows, always preserving the details. It also allows you to choose from different grain intensities to add a film finish to your monochrome images.

6. Other features
