The DMC-FS50's large 16.1-megapixel sensor delivers high-resolution images that serve to crop the part you want to enlarge out of the image even after shooting.

The DMC-F5 features 1280 x 720 HD video recording capability in QuickTime Motion JPEG format. Recording moving images can be started by simply pressing a standalone button on the superior part of the camera, which is very useful for users to switch from photo mode to video recording instantly. Thus, users can sort and archive the images through an included software, the PHOTOfunSTUDIO ver. 9.0 LE and upload them to social networks such as Facebook or YouTube.

The MEGA O.I.S. is incorporated into iA mode to suppress hand tremor. In addition to digital image correction, it corrects the light axis by changing the OIS unit so that the image is not digitally affected or deteriorated at all. The iA mode is built into the pursuit of maximum ease of use and the reduction of missed shots. In addition to MEGA OIS, Smart ISO Control, Smart Scene Selector, Smart Exposure and Face Detection are included for best results.

The DMC-FS50 contains panorama shooting, making it possible to make a horizontal/vertical panoramic image with consequent shots adopted by the overlay of the previous image.
