The new Creative Panorama feature with 10 filters allows users to apply effects to create a horizontal/vertical panoramic image produced with consequent shots adopting the overlay of the previous image. The DMC-SZ3 also integrates the popular creative control with 12 creative touch-ups and 9 filter effects. Creative control allows users to make images with a filter effect and check the difference with untouched photography and creative retouching allows a filter effect to be applied to the image even after shooting.

The Beauty Retouch mode allows you to make faces look prettier. The Makeup Touch Mode offers 5 latest trend models of makeup - Natural, Smokey, Glamour, cheerful and elegant. Aesthetic retouching mode makes skin look clearer, eyes and teeth whiter, and limits reflections. Users can also set the foundation tone.

The DMC-SZ3 is capable of taking high-resolution 16.1 megapixel photos. The Sonic Speed AF helps to take advantage of very fleeting photo opportunities. In video recording mode, the DMC-SZ3 records HD dynamic recording video in 1280 x 720p in QuickTime Motion JPEG format. Recording moving images can be started by simply pressing a separate video button on the superior part of the camera, which is very useful for users to switch photo/video recording mode instantly.

iA mode is a complete integration of MEGA OIS, Smart ISO Control, Face Detection, Smart Scene Selector and Smart Exposure - the camera does all the work, leaving you free to compose the shots. The MEGA O.I.S. is incorporated into iA mode to suppress hand tremor. In addition to digital image correction, it also corrects light axis jolts by changing the lens' OIS unit to compensate, so that the image is not digitally affected or impaired at all.
