The new GF6, available in black and white, incorporates new technologies designed to respond to the new needs of users. One of these novelties is the incorporation of Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) technology inside the camera. This feature is the first time it has been offered on a Micro Four Thirds camera from the company. With this, PANASONIC facilitates the upload of files so that sharing on social networks, sending by mail or storing in the cloud is easier and faster than ever.

PANASONIC has developed the Direct Wi-Fi function that allows you to pass the image that appears on the camera screen to the screen of another device, such as a tablet or smartphone, directly by simply bringing both devices closer. Other advantages of this connectivity is the possibility of turning the smartphone or tablet into the remote control of the camera. With the "PANASONIC Image App" the user can control the photo and video function of the Lumix GF6.

The GF6 incorporates 5 new creative filters compared to the GF5, thus offering a total of 19 creative filters. This makes it an excellent tool for any user who, beyond capturing scenes, wants to explore the creativity and artistic options offered by the world of photography. This allows effects to be applied directly to the camera without the need for a post-production program.

Another of the new features offered by the GF6 is a higher image quality in a very compact body, since it only weighs 323 grams (battery and SD card included) and measures 111.2 x 64.8 x 38.4 mm. This improvement has been achieved with the inclusion of the same 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor available to the GX1, the EXTENSION of ISO sensitivity up to 25,600 and a renewed Venus engine with multi-process noise reduction. The result is high-definition, perfect and low-noise photos and videos even in low-light situations.

The high quality is also palpable in the video mode. In fact, the GF6 is presented as a "mixed" camera for offering high performance in both photo and video. With the press of the exclusive button for video recording, Full HD files (1920x1080, 50i) are obtained in AVCHD format and stereo sound. With iA+ (Intelligent Auto) mode, PANASONIC auto mode, professional images can be shot without the need to be an expert in photography. With this mode, the camera optimizes the performance and options on its own to achieve impeccable images. Face Recognition, Smart Scene Selector, AF Tracking or Smart ISO Control are some examples.
