In this way, the new Lumix FT5 can submerge up to 12 meters underwater, resist falls from a height of 2 meters and withstand the cold up to -10ºC. To this is added a new achievement of resistance, since for the first time PANASONIC has managed to create a model capable of resisting the pressure of up to 100 kg. All these features make it possible to capture images in imaginable situations and now, in addition, share them immediately.

Wi-Fi and NFC technology make it possible to share your photos quickly and easily. With its Wi-Fi capability, users can post images to share on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Flicker, Picasa or YouTube. Other benefits of Wi-Fi connectivity is the 1GB storage capacity that has PANASONIC enabled in the cloud.

The application is very useful for photographing spaces where it is difficult to shoot, such as in an elevated place. It's as easy as locating the camera in place and from a distance and comfortably tapping the smartphone screen so that the FT5 camera fires on its own. The Remote Live View is also very useful, for example, in the taking of group portraits in which the photographer also wants to appear in the photo without using the timer or in images taken from an unusual angle.

The new suv of PANASONIC also improves in performance compared to its successors. Thus, for example, it has a sensor of 16.1 megapixels, a LEICA DC LENS VARIO ELMAR Wide Angle of 28mm and a 4.6x zoom capable of extending up to the equivalent of 9.3x. Another of the most outstanding features of the FT5 is the Full HD recording capacity in AVCHD 1920x1080 50p format and, for the first time, with stereo sound. In video mode, a new playback function stands out for images taken in Time Interval Mode, a function that allows the camera to be programmed to automatically shoot at the times chosen by the user. This new application is very useful, for example, to get a video of a sunrise, of the movements of an animal or the process of a flower opening.

The sharpness of the images is also guaranteed during recording with the Active Mode and the POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which suppress tremors while walking. At the same time, the Venus Engine processor provides a really fast response time. Ultra-fast autofocus (Sonic Speed AF) and the camera's quick response allow you to capture any unexpected opportunity. In addition, it is capable of taking up to 10 shots in a second with the shot in burst mode. One of the main novelties presented by the FT5 with respect to the predecessors is the incorporation of 14 artistic filters to allow the user to explore their creativity. Among them, the Creative Panoramic stands out, exclusive to PANASONIC, which allows you to add effects to the panoramic shot that can be made both vertically, horizontally or at 360º.
