Panasonic's full HC-V550 HD camcorder features Full HD 1920 x 1080 recording, along with a 50x optical and 90x intelligent zoom. Smart Zoom uses new technology to capture video, even when the optical range is exceeded and the themes are far away, such as in sports stadiums. Also offered is Advanced Level Camcorder Shot Function and 5-axis hybrid optical image stabilizer+ (OIS+) with a three-level setting (Off, Normal and Strong) that doubles the tilt correction range for better efficiency when moving and shooting. The improved correction algorithm provides better tracking, even when tilted quickly. Together with the Hybrid OIS 5-axis + optical image stabilizer, this provides powerful correction for camera movement and tilt. The camera also includes a free Wi-Fi connection feature and is NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled for even more flexibility when paired with optional HDTVs and mobile devices. They also include a baby monitor feature that allows you to check in on a baby sleeping in another room (when the camcorder is connected to the home network with a smartphone). You can talk to the baby using your smartphone and even be notified when the baby cries or when a voice is detected in the room. Ustream allows you to live streaming video over the Internet as well. Built-in modes include Miniature Effect, 8mm Film, Silent Film, and Interval Recording. They help inspire and creatively control your shot. There's also an illuminated rear sensor that helps you take pictures in low-light situations.





Advanced Function Shot Level and 5-axis HYBRID OIS+ with Active Mode and OIS Lock
This camera features the Advanced Level Shot Function and 5-axis HYBRID OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer) to minimize the effects of hand movement and tilt. The tilt correction range has been doubled for improved corrective performance. The setting can be adjusted to one of three levels (Off, Normal, Strong) depending on your shooting conditions. When shooting in situations where tilt tends to occur or for users who are not used to shooting, the Strong setting applies a wider range of correction with stronger correction for video recording that can be viewed comfortably and easily. The correction algorithm has been improved for better traceability and provides better tracking, even when tilted quickly. Together with the Hybrid OIS 5-axis + optical image stabilizer, this provides powerful correction for camera movement and tilt. The camcorder offers a stabilization lock function as well.
50x 90x Optical Zoom and Smart Zoom
Smart Zoom uses super resolution technology for quality high-definition images even when exceeding the optical range. This function allows the taking of the strong close-ups of distant objects. This is effective when you are separated from matter for a considerable distance, such as when filming outdoor events.
Supports built-in NFC Wi-Fi,
Built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for home or office network compatibility is offered in these video cameras, along with NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality, to connect the camcorder to NFC-enabled devices. You can also live streaming video to linked devices over the Internet using Ustream.
Baby monitor function
The camera includes a baby monitor feature that allows you to check on a baby sleeping in another room with the camcorder connected to a home network with a smartphone. You can talk to the baby using your smartphone, or send notifications to your smartphone when your baby's screaming voice or other sound is detected.
Effects of creative control
The built-in creative control modes of Miniature Effect, 8mm Film, Silent Film, and Recording Time Lapse allow you to add effects to your video to further enhance your creativity.
