Zhiyun-Tech's Smooth-4 Smartphone Stabilizer is designed to provide cinematic-style features to content creators who use their mobile phones to capture videos.

The control panel allows Android and iOS users to control stabilizer and smartphone functions such as focus, zoom, time lapse, and still photo settings. The Smooth-4's controls reduce the need to touch your phone's screen, minimizing unintentional nudging during recording. A specific function of "Vertigo" emulates the perspective change effect, dolly/zoom effect, beloved by many filmmakers. Compared to the ZT Smooth-3, the Smooth-4's controls are more ergonomic and better labeled with icons. The Smooth-4 also has a significantly larger focus/zoom wheel, a PhoneGo mode to quickly grab the action, multiple time-lapse functions, and object tracking. With the ability to support smartphones that weigh up to 7.4 oz and measure up to 3.35" in height, the Smooth-4 is compatible with almost any mobile phone.

In a nod to its filmmaker-centric design, the Smooth-4's large focus wheel even has a witness mark that can be aligned with the focus marks you place on your textured band. The wheel is located on the left side of the grip, with a button located at the bottom right that allows you to toggle between the focus and zoom functions, with a button light indicating the zoom mode. Scroll and press to select settings with the center menu/return button, or choose the parameter display button to toggle between direct shooting, still photography, and full auto modes. The Smooth-4 offers 300° tray and 240° tilt and roll to nimbly capture your action shots, or to glide smoothly through quieter scenes. Choose from Pan-Following, Locking, Full-Follow, or Full-Speed PhoneGo Mode to adjust your axis control level while shooting.

Powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the Smooth-4 features a maximum runtime of up to 12 hours. A USB Type-C port on the grip allows you to add a separately available power pack to further extend your shooting time. An LED display indicates the remaining power, and an output port allows you to charge your phone while shooting with the gimbal. The Zhiyun-Tech Smooth-4 smartphone stabilizer includes a mini tripod, carrying case and a USB cable. A 1/4"-20 female thread can be used at the bottom of the grip to mount the stabilizer on the included tripod or other stand, or to place a compatible accessory.
