The TAMRON 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II ld lens is a standard zoom of extraordinary quality with a high luminosity of 2.8 throughout the focal range and belongs to the Super performance (SP) line of TAMRON lenses, which are distinguished by their extraordinary optical and mechanical quality. The high brightness offered by this lens is ideal for low-light work and professional image composition. The result is images with a smooth and uniform bokeh effect (blurred background) in which the subject appears practically separated from the background. If we leave aside the unlimited possibilities offered by this lens, what remains is the quality of the images taken with it.

Thanks to its 3 XR (extra refraction) glass elements in the front group and a new mechanical design, it offers the shortest minimum focusing distance in the world – only 27 cm – without losing its compact structure. Its maximum magnification of 1:4.5 and weight of just 430 g are also a world exclusive*. In addition, the aspherical and LD (low dispersion) glass elements, as well as a special coating of the internal glass surfaces, keep the defects of the images at an absolute minimum. The result is excellent, very sharp and high-quality images.

Please note that Di II lenses are designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with image sensors less than 24 mm x 16 mm. Di II lenses cannot be used with full-frame or 35mm SLR cameras, because their image sensors cannot cover the entire area covered by the full format and the corners of the images appear darker (vignetting is noticeable).
