the NIKON black COOLPIX B500 digital camera features a 16 MP 1/2.3" BSI CMOS sensor for high-resolution images as well as Full HD 1080p video. The construction of this sensor uses a stacked backlight design to improve clarity and image quality when working in low-light conditions. The 40x optical zoom lens offers an equivalent 35mm focal range of 22.5-900mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives to suit work in a wide variety of environments. The B500 has a 40x NIKKOR ED VR lens with a focal length range of 4.0-160mm, giving an equivalent of 35mm to 22.5-900mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto shots with a maximum aperture range of f/3.0-6.5. It features three ED lens elements to improve sharpness, color, and image quality, as well as vibration reduction to reduce the appearance of camera shake.
