The constant F4 aperture at all focal lengths means the user can zoom and shoot at any aperture without having to change exposure or depth-of-field settings, and thus concentrate on the shot rather than the technical details.

The integrated optical SteadyShot image stabilization compensates for camera shake that can cause blurred images when shooting handheld.
