The AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED NIKON lens is designed for use with DSLR format NIKON cameras. It features wide-angle zoom capability with an equivalent focal length of 35mm of 18-36mm, allowing creatively distorted ultra-wide perspectives and standard wide-angle shooting for indoor capture, landscape and documentary views and photojournalism-style images. Its constant maximum f/4 aperture provides consistent exposure control across the zoom range.

Two extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements and three aspherical elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations, leading to, with more accurate colors, sharp high-contrast images. Super integrated coating on the lens elements improves light transmission and reduces reflections and stray lights.

This NIKKOR G-type lens is designed without an aperture ring, and offers the comfort of use, practically error-free. The autofocus is compatible with the silent wave motor which provides fast, accurate and almost silent operation, particularly useful when recording video. Manual focus drive allows immediate control over manual focus, even in AF mode. Zoom and focus rings are smooth and this compact lens is built to handle inclement weather and harsh shooting environments.
