The successor to the mecablitz 48 AF-1 digital, awarded the "Tipa Award 2008" in the Best Accessory category, is presented, compared to the predecessor model, with a new high-quality metal foot*, which can be quickly and easily attached to the camera in question. Also on a technical level, the mecablitz 50 AF-1 digital convinces with its multiple application possibilities and a power even superior (guide number 50). Equipped with a USB interface for updating firmware over the Internet, this device is especially innovative and promising. Respectively adapted to the digital cameras of leading manufacturers, this model is available in five different versions (CANON, NIKON, OLYMPUS/ PANASONIC, PENTAX or SONY Alpha) – each with intelligent flash thanks to its fully automatic flash modes. They allow a precise light emission and adapted to each individual motif. The multiple possibilities of intervention complement the freedom of photographic design. Aided by a fully folding reflector system that also contains an extendable reflector card and a diffuser, the possibilities for creative lighting are virtually limitless. Thanks to the slave function, the digital 50 AF-1 even offers easier "exempt" employment. In the respective wireless and camera-specific TT L operation, therefore, it can be used as a slave device. In case of built-in flash in the camera, wireless applications in servo mode are also possible. An excellent flash device for passionate amateur photographers.
