The Feiyu AK2000S supports loads of up to 2.2 Kg includes a rear handle that attaches to the gimbal for easy operation under the hook. The handle also helps to better hold the gimbal in all other modes. The AK2000S is an update of the AK2000. In addition to the rear handle, another new feature is the support for fast charging via the built-in USB Type-C port. The gimbal's built-in battery has a runtime of up to 14 hours, and can be fully recharged in just 1.5 hours with a fast charger, sold separately. Other new features include two USB ports next to the mounting pad for connecting optional Feiyu brushless lens motors for external tracking focus and zoom control.

The AK2000S features an Arca-Swiss-compatible quick release plate assembly that will allow you to move your camera efficiently between the gimbal and other Arca-Swiss supported equipment. The gimbal is also designed with a touch screen that allows you to set parameters and make other selections. Through this touch screen and select the built-in control buttons, certain modes and functions can be accessed with a single press. These include startup mode, portrait orientation, long exposure time-lapse capture and more.

Some cameras can be synchronized with the gimbal via the complementary Feiyu ON app via built-in Wi-Fi to allow control of various functions from the app. Some cameras can also be connected to the gimbal via the included cables for control directly from the gimbal buttons. Functions such as shutter release and switching between photo and video modes can be controlled. See the Feiyu website for a complete list of camera compatibility for both types of control.

Another feature of the AK2000S is that it can charge certain cameras SONY from the gimbal using one of the included charging cables. The AK2000S has an all-aluminum design with a soft handle dipped in rosewood.
