CANON 60mm f2.8 EFS LENS USM Macro is a prime telephoto lens and the first true macro lens of its EF-S series, made specifically for "APS-C" CANON format SLR cameras. It produces 1:1 magnification for highly detailed close-up images and with a 35mm focal length equivalence of 96mm, it is also ideal for medium telephoto applications, including portraiture. Its maximum aperture of f/2.8 is effective in low-light conditions and offers shallow depth of field control.

Autofocus is achieved with CANON best ultrasonic ring (USM) type motor, which is fast and quiet and allows you to manually override focus at any time without having to change the camera's focus mode settings. The field of attention is focused flat, important on macro work, and the circular aperture diaphragm to allow for outstanding more natural antecedents.

An internal focusing system prevents lens extension, while focusing and one of three groups of floating element lens design results from excellent delineation at all macro life-size focusing distances to infinity. Coating of CANON 's Super Spectra lenses suppress ghosting and glare and an optional sunshade (ET-67B) further reduces the incidence of flare.
