Standard interchangeable lens designed specifically for cameras compatible with the Micro Four Thirds System. Suitable for a wide variety of scenes, from portraiture to landscape photography, the lens offers a 14-45mm zoom (35mm equivalent: 28-90mm) while adding ultra-compact size and light weight. Aspherical lenses also improve optical performance by minimizing distortion, even at the 28mm wide end.

The lens incorporates PANASONIC's MEGA O.I.S. image stabilizer, which makes it easy to take super-clear photographs even in low-light situations by suppressing the imprecision caused by hand instability.

When the lens is on the Lumix G Micro System DMC-G1 camera, the AF contrast system found on the DMC-G1 can be used to offer a wide variety of appropriate functions.

With a minimum focal length of 30 cm even at maximum zoom, the lens provides a maximum magnification of 0.34x (equivalent to 35mm).
