Combining the camera body's (5-axis) image stabilizer (I.S.) and the S-Series lens's O.I.S (2-axis Optical Image Stabilizer), the I.S. Dual 2 compensates for unwanted movements or tremors during recording, allowing for a 6.5-stop lower shutter speed. To enhance the photo experience, the 96-megapixel high-resolution mode (JPEG/RAW), the Live View Composite function and the HLG Photo mode are available.
Thanks to high energy efficiency and a new 2,200mAh high-capacity battery, the new S5 can capture approximately 470 images using LVF or 1,500 images in Power Save LVF mode.
