Distinguished by its updated, sleeker and lighter design, the AF 85mm f/1.8 RF II VILTROX is the second generation of this first portrait length designed for CANON RF mount mirrorless cameras. The short telephoto focal length of the lens is combined with the bright f/1.8 design to suit work in a variety of lighting conditions and also to control depth of field and isolate the subject. The optical design consists of an extra-low dispersion element, an aspherical element and four elements made of highly transparent glass, which help reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations to achieve great clarity and sharpness. A multilayer HD Nano coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting to improve contrast when working in bright lighting conditions. In addition, the lens features an STM motor for fast and quiet autofocus along with a minimum focusing distance of 2.6' for working with close-up subjects.
