THE POWER OF PORTABILITY

Lightweight and compact, the X1D II 50c lets you bring the power of medium format into a smaller body than the vast majority of cameras with a full-frame sensor. Each camera has been calibrated for accuracy. Its massive 50-megapixel (43.8 x 32.9 mm) medium format CMOS sensor delivers exceptional color depth and a wide dynamic range of up to 14 stops.

The HASSELBLAD Natural Colour Solution technology is integrated into the camera system, presenting tones that faithfully represent reality in full accordance with what the human eye perceives. Its lightweight and ergonomic design has already won awards in the first generation of these cameras and perfectly combines function and form to create high-quality images, with 16-bit RAW images and – now – high-resolution JPEGs.

INTUITIVE CONTROLS

The bright rear touchscreen is 3.6 inches with 2.36 million pixels. The OLED viewfinder has 3.69 million pixels, so the X1D II 50c has been updated with a higher resolution, allowing for a more accurate post-capture evaluation of each image. The magnification ratio has also been improved to 0.87x, so that the viewfinder is now larger, allowing you to see the bigger image. As an innovation, the system menu is now also accessible through the viewfinder, allowing you to work with peace of mind even in bright sunlight.

The menu interface copies the strengths of its predecessor, such as image enlargement and one-gesture navigation, and gives them a faster response. In addition, from the screen you can change the location and size of the autofocus by dragging or marking the proportional part with a finger on the screen.

Thanks to a reduced power-up time, a live view with a refresh rate of 60fps, allowing immediate shutter firing, and a reduced time between frames, you have an even more pleasant experience when working with the X1D II 50c.

STATE-OF-THE-ART ELECTRONIC SYSTEM

The revamped electronic platform makes the X1D II 50c a much more agile camera. Image preview, post-capture evaluation, as well as menu navigation. Everything works much faster.

With 60 fps in both the viewfinder and the rear screen and the high resolution of 1024×768 of the latter, the live view experience is also much more pleasant and closer to reality. Apart from this, the X1D II 50c offers high-resolution, high-quality JPEG images with the HASSELBLAD color profile. Dual SD card slots support a much faster UHS-II standard and ensure optimal memory space for recording and the option to secure images on the second card while working.

FULL CONNECTIVITY

With built-in Wi-Fi and a USB-C port, the X1D II 50c allows for a very convenient workflow. You can export the image both wirelessly and wiredly using the updated Phocus Mobile 2 app.

It is also possible to shoot remotely by connecting it via cable to your Mac or PC using the desktop version of Phocus. The built-in GPS module allows you to tag the place where the image came from. Two SD card ports ensure optimal memory space alternatives and the option to secure images on the second card while shooting is taking place. The X1D II 50c allows you to charge the battery from the camera via the USB port and with a computer, battery or power bank.

STREAMLINED WORKFLOW WITH PHOCUS MOBILE 2

To streamline workflow with this HASSELBLAD camera, the Phocus Mobile 2 app takes image editing to an incredible new level. Compatible with the X1D II 50C via USB-C or Wi-Fi, the Phocus Mobile 2 works with the different iPad Pro and 2019 iPad Air models.

The goal has been to make the photographer's workflow easier by streamlining each step. With Phocus Mobile 2, users can import, edit and evaluate RAW or JPEG images directly from their mobile device. Phocus Mobile 2 is also capable of exporting the highest quality images, can trigger a remote shot and take over the camera controls.

Adopting the award-winning design of the first generation of these cameras, the X1D II 50C builds on the heritage of HASSELBLAD that always combines function and form for a unique photographic experience.

Made of the highest quality solid aluminum and minimalist design, the new HASSELBLAD features only the most essential buttons, with all other settings accessible from the touchscreen. A feature HASSELBLAD continues to be the central shutter that is located on the lenses rather than on the camera body, improving its professional performance and also reducing the weight and size of the camera.

AGILE AND COMFORTABLE

The grip of the X1D II 50C allows it to be held firmly, so shooting is comfortable and easy. Inside the handle is the battery. With a simple click it is easily released, by operating the safety lever, it will come out of the handle.

HIGH-QUALITY OPTICS FROM 21MM TO 500MM

The X1D II 50C is compatible with all HASSELBLAD medium format lenses. These comprise the 9 XCD lenses, the 12 HC/HCD lenses (and their H1.7x Converter) all used with the XH adapter, as well as all the accessories of the H system and the XPan lenses (via the XPan adapter) and finally the V system lenses with the XV adapter.

All XCD and HC/HCD lenses have a center shutter that allows flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, even up to 1/2000th of a second with all X System lenses. Made from durable metal and glass components, HASSELBLAD optics are rigorously tested to deliver optimal performance and unsurpassed image quality.

XCD 3.5-4.5/35-75 ZOOM LENS

The XCD 3.5-4.5/35-75 zoom is the ninth lens in the X System. It achieves the same unbeatable corner-to-corner quality as XCD prime lenses. Its performance is extremely high and it's a compact zoom that covers a mid-range from a moderate wide-angle to a short telephoto. Its internal autofocus system is extremely fast and therefore keeps the dimensions of the lens constant and lightweight.

It's an ideal lens for all kinds of shots, from landscapes to portraits. This lens is intended to help photographers who don't want to carry a lot of gear with them, but without compromising image quality.
