Manfrotto 504HD video ball joint with fast shoe 504PLONG

The 504HD is a state-of-the-art professional MANFROTTO video ball joint. It is a perfect balance between design and performance. The bridge design improves the rigidity of the ball joint and its PAN friction control is fast, simple to adjust and protected from shocks.

All structural components are made of aluminum, while the rotation unit on the PAN shaft uses ball bearings to achieve smooth, controlling and totally vibration-free movements, which can be adjusted directly using the FDS system of variable friction of the ball joint. The FDS system, incorporated into both the PAN (horizontal) and TILT (tilt) axes, also ensures that the ball joint works perfectly at all temperatures, with all kinds of equipment and under all loads.

Ergonomically enhanced control and dial designs combine with the new friction index to give the user full control over the 504HD.

The 504HD has diso designed to offer a load capacity of up to 7.5kg, making it suitable for a wide range of cameras. The CBS counterbalance system has 4 presets for a wide range of camera weights (0, 2.5kg, 5kg and 7.5kg).

It is easy to level the ball joint thanks to the 75mm diameter semi-sphere and the illuminated bubble level. Two 3/8" threads on the superior platform allow accessories (such as monitors or arms) to be mounted on the ball joint directly safely, helping to reduce preparation time, keeping the camera shoe free and saving the use of an additional clamp.

The 504HD is suitable for video tripods in the MANFROTTO PRO range with ground-level or half-height stabilizers and for MPRO carbon fiber single-tube leg tripods. A wider and longer platform for your camera and accessories.
