The 18-200mm f AF-S DX NIKKOR / 3.5-5.6G ED VR II NIKON lens is a single-lens solution for DX format DSLRs. Its wide-angle to telephoto focal range with the equivalence of 35mm focal length of 27-300mm offers photographers a versatile tool to get the ball not without having to change lenses. It is designed with ED (extra low dispersion) quality elements superior, producing sharpness and color correction and without distortion, even in wide apertures. In addition, this zoom is built with three elements of aspherical lenses and a circular diaphragm of 7 sheets that makes the images captured with natural looking elements out of focus. Super integrated coating NIKON lens improves light transmission through the lens and reduces reflections and stray lights. VR (Vibration Reduction) Image Stabilization II compensates against blur caused by camera shake and allows shooting up to 3.5 shutter speed stops slower than with non-VR II lenses. This allows hand recordings in telephoto lengths and in low light with less blur. The internal focus (SI) lens incorporates NIKON silent wave motor (SWM) to provide smooth, quiet, fast and accurate auto focusing. Auto (A) or manual (M) modes can be easily selected with a focus mode switch, and the manual override function allows the shooter to focus manually even in AF mode.

With 11x zoom versatility this single-lens solution covers a wide range of photo opportunities. Image angle is the equivalent of a 27-300mm lens in the 35mm format.
NIKON VR II (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization, designed specifically for each VR NIKKOR lens, allows for handheld recordings of up to 3.5 shutter speeds slower than would be possible, ensuring sharper images dramatically.
Two extra low dispersion (ED) elements offers superior sharpness and color correction, minimizing chromatic aberration effectively, even with width aperture adjustments.
Three elements of aspherical lenses eliminate coma and other aberrations, even in wide openings.
NIKON Super Integrated Coating (SIC) improves light transmission and offers superior color consistency and reduced flare.
Built with unique NIKON NIKON silent wave motor (SWM), the lens enables fast, accurate and quiet autofocus.
With a round 7-sheet diaphragm a more natural appearance of out-of-focus imaging elements are borrowed.
A zoom lock switch secures the lens cylinder at its minimum length.
This 18-200mm lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 19.7".
The M/A mode switch (manual/autofocus) allows for quick response to changing situations between manual operation and autofocus.
The included lens lens visor petal type HB-35 shades the lens, unwanted degrading light-image and provides a degree of protection against impacts and the elements.
