This design reduces various aberrations to absolute minimum and, at the same time, guarantees a compact design. In addition, it carries three hybrid aspherical elements to prevent spherical aberration and two LD (low dispersion) glass elements to compensate for chromatic aberrations. Please note that Di II lenses are designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with image sensors less than 24 mm x 16 mm. Di II lenses cannot be used with full-frame or 35mm SLR cameras, because their image sensors cannot cover the entire area covered by the full format and the corners of the images appear darker (vignetting is noticeable).
