Product Details

This compact lens features an AF/MF one-touch clutch operation to switch back and forth between manual and auto focus, for the manual focus slide the rear focus ring and for autofocus allows the ring to rest in the front position. A new DESIGN OF GMR (Magnetic Precision) AF sensor is mounted near the AF motor and provides fast, accurate AF. The 'SD-M (Silent Drive-Module) lens means that the autofocus responds smoothly and quietly, which is useful when shooting video in high definition.

The use of SD (Ultra Low Dispersion Glass) glass, which emulates fluorite glass in performance, aims to eliminate chromatic aberration and aspherical elements, both in the rear lens group correct front distortion and also helps to minimize sharp image aberrations throughout the Wide Range.

Wide angle to extend the standard length of 35mm provides focal equivalence range of 18-42mm

An AF/MF clutch mechanism provides one-touch control when switching between manual and auto focus.

A GMR (Magnetic Precision) sensor offers fast and accurate autofocus and the SD-M (Silent Drive-Module) means the AF motor is virtually silent, which is important when recording HD video.
