This model comes equipped with an 18mm GR F2.8 wide-angle lens (equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format), allowing for a high-performance compact size camera. With an uncompromising design and a fixed 28mm focal length lens, it is capable of producing great results with excellent sharpness at maximum aperture of f2.8.

In addition to the unique construction of the newly developed lens, lenses with high refractive index and low dispersion are used, along with optimized positioning of high-precision molded glass aspherical lenses in the elimination of extreme aberrations, image quality and contrast from the center to the edges of the image, is maintained uniformly. Equipped with a lens that reduces the ghosting effect and together with the multi-coating on the surface, this lens has excellent resistance to backlight. Of course, distortion and chromatic aberration were reduced to an absolute minimum, with a view to better overall optical performance of any GR model. With a more than sufficient and effective aperture through the 9 diaphragm sheets, the GR is able to produce beautiful blurring effects of the edges of the image and without the loss of color. It also includes an ND filter that can be manually controlled to cover a wide variety of photographic expressions.
