This 2014 celebrates 100 years of photography LEICA. In 1914, Oskar Barnack, an engineer at Ernst-Leitz-Werke in Wetzlar and a pioneer of photography, built the first LEICA, the Leitz Camera. The creation of this 'Ur-LEICA' marked the birth of the 35mm LEICA photography system, with a vast creative field that allowed photographers countless new forms of expression. On the occasion of this special anniversary, the firm launches a special edition, the LEICA D-Lux 6 'Edition 100'.
This edition includes a compact camera LEICA D-Lux 6 in two-color finish, with silver lens and body in gloss black. A special feature of this edition is the special engraving with the Centennial logo, which appears on the front of the camera body. The special edition also includes an elegant camera case in genuine leather in matching black, along with a carrying strap and wrist strap with an equally matched finish.
This edition LEICA D-Lux 6 'Edition 100' is strictly limited to 5,000 units.
The Leica D-Lux 6 combines an extraordinarily bright lens with a newly developed 1.7" CMOS image sensor, especially large for this compact camera format. This ensures an image quality that sets new standards in its segment. The camera also offers a full range of features, including auto mode, manual adjustment options and the new Full HD video recording capability. Optional accessories, with the new electronic viewfinder, provide even more creative freedom in all areas of photography. This together with its intuitive operating concept, which makes this camera LEICA D-Lux 6, full of style and classic elegance, the ideal companion to capture moments in photographs of incredible quality.
