Following in the wake of the Q PENTAX, the Q10 PENTAX features a CMOS sensor with an improved algorithm for superior image quality and fasterdevelopment. Its design has also been improved with a more pronounced grip for better grip.

With its new backlit 12.4 megapixel CMOS sensor it perfectly manages digital noise in a range of 100 to 6500 ISO offering detailed images even at the edges. It also has HDR (DynamicRange Extension), which allows you to compose, from 3 images,a perfect exposure for both lights and shadows.

With the new algorithm equipped in the sensor,the system developed for the Q10 PENTAX is much faster,even in low light conditions or when using a long focal length. It also has an AF assist light and face recognition (12 possibilities).

Digital filter function to apply visual artistic effects
The Q10PENTAX also has 19 digital filters for artistic effects without using the computer. 11 of its filters are applied when shooting the photo or video, the other 8 are available in playback mode. The user can even apply different filters,one after another on an image to create more innovative visual effects.

Smart Effects function from the control dial

You can quickly and easily access the use of "Smart effects" from the frontral dial of the camera to add a desired finish to an image, while the effect preview is displayed on the LCD screen.
