ContactThe Lens SONY 70-200mm f4.0 T OSS State-of-the-art optical technology in a compact and lightweight lens with constant F4 maximum aperture offers the expressive and attractive image quality that has made the G lens range famous. G lenses have been manufactured to the highest requirements and individually tested to ensure that each and every unit meets the same high standards of image quality and creative control.
Precision AA (Advanced Aspherical) elements, super ED glass and anti-reflective nanocoating combine in an advanced optical design to deliver high resolution across the entire image area regardless of focal length. A circular aperture of 9 sheets expands the expressive possibilities of the lens by contributing to a wonderful background bokeh effect with natural light spots.
This compact and lightweight E-mount zoom lens offers maximum mobility and balance on α7 series bodies. The internal focus is also an advantage, keeping the lens length constant for better overall lens manipulation. All controls, including focus fixing and focus distance limiters, have been designed to provide intuitive operation that allows the user to concentrate on each shot.
Built-in optical SteadyShot image stabilization compensates for camera movement causing blurry images when shooting handheld. It's now easier to shoot with crisp, clear telephoto lenses, and low-light indoor photography no longer requires an excessive increase in ISO sensitivity, eliminating the risk of higher noise.
The first image stabilization mode switch on a G lens provides a "widescreen mode" that allows you to keep optical SteadyShot image stabilization active while moving the camera. In this way you can make dynamic captures of horizontal panoramas minimizing the blurriness caused by vibration on other axes.
F4's constant aperture over the entire 70 to 200mm range means you can change the focal length and reframe as many times as needed without needing to modify exposure settings.
Focusing is fast and accurate thanks to two linear motors. The quiet and fluid movement is perfect for shooting videos with action scenes or for changing focus quickly and frequently. Using an internal focus group, rather than a moving front lens element, achieves a compact design that works well with accessories like lens caps and polarizing filters.
