Metabones Speed Booster BMCC Micro 4/3 to NIKON G Speed

The G lens NIKON for Blackmagic Cinema 2.5k camera with Micro-4/3 Monte Speed Booster from Metabones allows a NIKON G lens to be mounted on a 2.5k Cinema Camera and in doing so, increases the angle of view and the maximum aperture.

The Speed Booster uses 6 optical design elements incorporating ultra-highindex glass to achieve ideal optical performance at larger apertures. Increase the maximum aperture of 1 1/3 stops with a maximum aperture of f/0.8, and reduce the cropping factor from 2.39x to 1.53x.

The Speed Booster not only increases the field of view and lens speed, but also increases the lens' MTF, or how faithfully the lens transfers detail from the object to the camera sensor. These mtF increases are seen in the cornersas well as the center of the images.

Built into the Speed Booster is a silent switch aperture ring, a must-have feature for cinematographers, as well as a compatible removable Ark type tripod mount.

It is not compatible with the camera Blackmagic pocket.

NIKON -G/F for Micro-4/3 Speed Booster mounting adapters designed exclusively for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k (BMCC). Note that the new speed boosters will only be attached to the Blackmagic cameras equipped with a Micro-4/3 mount. Cannot connect to Micro 4/3 standard cameras.

The new Speed Booster 0.64x reduces the BMCC's full-frame crop factor from 2.39x 1.53x to effectively transform it into a Super-35 cinema format camera. In addition, the speed of any coupled lens is increased by 11/3 stops,with a maximum output aperture of f/0.80. For example, a 50mm f/1.2 becomes a 32mm f/0.80 (i.e. by using a 50mm lens,the actual focal length in BMCC is 32mm x 2.39 = 76.48mm),and the new 18-35mm SIGMA f/1.8 it will become an 11.5-22.5mm f/1.1. (i.e. by using 18-35mm lenses, the actual focal length in BMCC is from (11.5 mm x 2.39 = 27.49mm) to (22.5 mm x 2.39 = 53.78mm).
