Contact The Lens LEICA R a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Speed Booster from Metabones allows you to mount an R Lens on a LEICA R lens on a Pocket Cinema Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera, while using custom optics to increase the angle of view and maximum aperture of the lens.
The Speed Booster works by reducing the image circle of your R lens to better fit the smaller sensor of the camera LEICA R lens to better fit the smaller sensor of the Pocket Cinema camera Blackmagic Pocket Cinema. This has the effect of making the angle of view of the lens 0.58x wider or, in other terms, reducing the crop factor of the camera from 2.88x to 1.75x.
When the Speed Booster concentrates the image circle of a lens, the brightness of the image is increased by 1 2/3 stops, with a maximum output aperture of f/0 .8 when using an f/1.4" R lens LEICA A. In addition to lens speed and angle of view, the Speed Booster also increases the lens 'MTF, or how faithfully the lens transfers object detail to the camera's sensor. These MTF increases are seen in the corners as well as the center of images. For added lens support, a detachable Arca-type tripod stand is included .
Super Telephoto lenses such as the Telyt 560/5 .6 can Vignette in the corners.
The following lenses require modification in order to fit on the Speed Booster:
Super-Elmar-R 15mm
Elmarit R 28/2 .8
Elmarit R 35/2 .8
Summicron R 50/2
LEICA R for Micro-4/3 Speed Booster mount adapters designed exclusively for the camera Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC). Please note that these new 0.58x speed boosters will only attach to BMPCC equipped with a Micro-4/3 mount. It cannot be attached to standard Micro 4/3 cameras.
The new 0.58x Speed Booster reduces the crop factor of the BMPCC from 2.88x to 1.75x, and produces the largest aperture optics currently available, with a maximum output aperture of f/0 .74. For example, a 50mm f / 1.2 now becomes a 29mm f / 0.74 ( i.e., by using 50mm lens, the actual focal length at BMPCC is 29mm x 3.02 = 87.58mm), and the SIGMA 18-35mm f/1 .8 becomes the world' s fastest zoom lens at 10.5-20.3mm f/1 .0 with incredibly sharp performance . (i.e. by using 18-35mm lens, the actual focal length at BMPCC is from (10.5mm x 3.02 = 31.71mm) to (20.3mm x 3.02 = 61.31mm). More details about crop factors, please refer to the table below :
