The TAMRON 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens is a wide-angle fast zoom lens. It appreciates it very much in low-light situations, and provides a wonderful, selective depth of field and focus.
The optical construction we find XGM type crystals and LD glass elements reduce chromatic aberrations and help ensure sharp and clear images.
Bbar and eBand coatings, make this Lens TAMRON 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD bring out uniform colors and reduce ghosting and glare, while a fluorine coating on the front element helps repel water or contaminants.
The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) focus motor provides fast and accurate focusing performance, with high torque, low response times, and quiet operation to benefit both fixed and video applications. In addition, full-time manual focus mechanism allows manual fine adjustment of focus at any time, even when the autofocus system is activated.
- Image quality
- It consists of 18 elements in 13 groups, including an (expanded aspherical molded glass) XGM element placed in the front group and several LD (low dispersion) glass elements in the system, aberrations such as geometric distortion and side color are efficiently compensated for, allowing zooming to deliver quality images across the range from corner to corner.
- BBAR and eBand Coatings
- BBAR coating (Broad-Band anti-glare) makes uniformity in transmissivity across critical bandwidths. Along with the eBand coating, ghosting appearance and glare typically observed in ultra-wide-angle lenses are efficiently removed, resulting in sharper, clearer images.

TAMRON 's SILKYPIX developer studio offers a range of features, in addition to basic adjustment capabilities, such as color correction aberrations (side, distortion, relative autumn-off lighting) that refer to optical design data.
